Launched as a DMC in 2023, Destination Moab is supported by transport operators specializing in connecting Moab with regional hubs by land and air. Moab Express offers shuttle, charter, and private land transport services within and outside Moab. Redtail Air operates flights in the region and scenic tours of Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and Monument Valley.

Tom McKay
President
Tom has been in customer service for 35 years, 15 of them in resort destinations and the last 7 in Moab. He is the owner and founder of Moab Express, the city’s premier transportation company providing shuttle, charter, and private services and scenic driving tours within and outside Moab.
“From almost day one of Moab Express' start we began receiving group inquiries for services apart from shuttle transport, such as venues and activities for events, and private functions. With our extensive network of friends and service providers, it was a natural progression to build a singular point of contact that connects all of the best Moab has to offer," says Tom.
Earlier in his career, Tom worked in the financial, insurance, and brokerage industries before a 10-year stint managing Habitat in Humanity Restore in Eagle, Colorado. When not working on solutions that help create top-notch experiences, Tom enjoys riding dirt bikes, spending time on the river, and traveling throughout the southwest
Kari McKay
General Manager
Kari possesses over 30 years of experience in organizational leadership, with the last 18 leading people operations in the resort markets of Colorado and Utah. She worked with her husband, Tom, to launch Moab Express and Moab Express Tours and most recently held the position of Director of Human Resources with Moab Regional Hospital. She is a board member of Desert Rivers Credit Union serving Southeast Utah. Kari thrives on creating win-win partnerships within the Moab community and with clients. When she's not working, she spends time visiting national parks, rafting, hiking, and searching for new vistas and secret places in the High Desert.
Katie McKay
Business Development Manager
With over 6 years' experience in operations, sales and event planning within the hospitality industry, Katie brings keen insights into guest experience and activities organization. Brought up in the Colorado Rockies and Moab, she has developed an innate understanding of unique destinations. Her journey, encompassing diverse roles in catering, guest relations, sales, marketing and event planning eventually led her back to the captivating red rocks where she now takes pride in connecting others with the myriad of experiences Moab offers. Outside of work, Katie enjoys traveling, camping, cooking and hiking with her fur family.
